さんかん【参観】

a visit (of inspection); going to a place to have a look; visitation.

～する visit; go to a place and have a look.

●授業を参観する visit a class at work; go to see one's child's class [children's classes].

●5 時間目を授業参観に充てる designate the fifth period as the one parents [guardians] can visit [observe].
